Antti Brunni

I build and study how design, data and technology change practice.

I lead Invinite and pursue doctoral research on the design of medical software. My work returns to questions about making good decisions and turning solutions into part of everyday practice.

Questions that connect my work

My background is in design, digital services and culture. In healthcare, I am particularly interested in what technology changes in practice: in everyday work, decision-making and an organisation’s ability to develop its own systems. Research gives me a way to pause over these questions and examine design decisions more closely.

About

By focusing on what matters, we can make what is possible happen.

Work

Building Invinite

Invinite brings my work in healthcare, data and technology together with organisational change. I am interested in how the systems we build become part of everyday work, and how clients retain the ability to own and develop them.

Research

Studying design decisions

My doctoral research at the University of Lapland focuses on the design of medical software. I examine how design and agile development work in a regulated environment, where decisions need to be safe, defensible and traceable.

More questions

  • Why does a technically successful system so often leave the work itself unchanged?

  • How can an organisation actually own the digital systems it depends on?

  • How should design decisions be made and justified when they may affect patient safety?

Background

My path includes design, digital services, healthcare, public decision-making and culture. Writing and creative work are ways for me to understand new questions.
